Want to get involved with the Queen City Memory Café?
Here's how you can:
Attend ouR Memory Cafés
We meet on the third Saturday of each month, 10-11:30 a.m. at the Thayer House at 1197 North Ave. in Burlington's New North End. Our memory cafés are a fun, relaxing way to spend time with people who understand what it's like to live with dementia and other memory loss.
Lead a program one month
Do you play an instrument or sing? Are you a visual artist, poet, dancer or yoga instructor? Do you like to perform or have a hobby you love to share with other people? We're open to suggestions and also are interested in programs led by high school and college students. Our entertainment each month lasts for about 45 minutes to an hour.

Tell us the ENTERTAINMENT You'd Enjoy
Our programs vary each month. We've had an Army Band and other live music, choral groups, tai chi and gentle yoga, watercolors, stand-up comedy, computer games with high school students, and other activities. We've even broken out hula hoops! We welcome your suggestions.
Be a student volunteer
University of Vermont medical students attend our café each month to help organize and spend time with café participants. Champlain College and high school students have led programs. We all value the intergenerational mix.
Spread the word
We welcome new people. You don't have to live in Burlington to attend. Our participants come from around Chittenden County and beyond.
